You will travel to the Russian North. You will see the dense forests of Karelia, visit the legendary Kizhi, go hiking in the Khibiny mountains and admire the scenery of the Arctic Ocean.

Day 1

You can fly to Moscow via any convenient airline for you.  A driver with a sign will be waiting at the airport to take you to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel is possible only after 14:00. If you arrive in Moscow with an early flight, then an earlier check-in can be booked for you for an additional fee.

Day 2

9:00 Breakfast.

10:00 Sightseeing tour of Moscow. You will see the Red Square, Bolshoi Theater, GUM (main department store), St. Basil’s Cathedral, Metropol Hotel, Nikolskaya Street, Historical Museum, Kazan Cathedral, Lubyanka, KGB building, Zaryadye Park, and the Central Children’s Store.

13:00 Lunch.

14:00 Excursion to the Kremlin. The guide will tell you about the history of the Kremlin, and then you will have free time to explore the cathedrals on your own

22:00 Transfer to railway station

23:55 Departure of the train to St. Petersburg

Day 3

7:55 Arrival in St. Petersburg

8:30 Breakfast

9:30 Sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg. You will see Nevsky Prospect, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, canals and bridges, the Hermitage, the Admiralty, and the Neva embankment.

12:30 Lunch.

13:30 Excursion to the Hermitage. The Hermitage is one of the largest museums in the world. It houses a collection of over 3 million works of art.

15:30 Check-in at the hotel

Day 4

5:00 Check-out. Transfer to railway station

6:15 Departure of the train to Sortavala. High-speed train Lastochka with soft seats.

10:28 Arrival in Sortavala.

10:40 Departure of Ruskeala Express. Journey into glorious past ages on a train that is still driven by locomotive power today. The interiors of the coaches boast decoration from the Nikolaev era. The train will take you from the Ruskela Mountain Park to Sortavala by 1:05.

11:55 Arrival in Ruskeala and tour of the park. Be treated to a guided trip through Ruskeala Mountain Park. The marble mined from this park in the 17th century was used to build the Winter Palace and also St. Isaac’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg. The open mining technique of the marble created quarries which eventually filled up with water, leaving a perfect place to float along in a boat or to take a swim.

15:00 Lunch.

16:00 Ahvenkoski Waterfall Adventure. Four lowland waterfalls cascade into the breathtaking Ahvenkoski waterfall.

17:00 Return to Sortavala and check-in at the hotel.

7:00 Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out

8:00 Transfer to the railway station

8:48 Departure of the train to Petrozavodsk.

15:30 Petrozavodsk City Tour
Petrozavodsk is the capital of the Republic of Karelia. Its history began with the founding of an arms factory in 1703. Petrozavodosk is named after Peter 1 and in his honor. The tour covers the main sights that the city offers.

17:00 Excursion to Kindasovo village. Because every guest is greeted with dances and dancers, Kindasovo is known as the most cheerful village in Karelia. A village reputed to be more than 500 years old is on the agenda for this trip. It is an opportunity to experience the lives and traditions of the Karelian people, and enjoy the local food.

19:00 Check-in at the hotel

8:30 Breakfast at the hotel

9:30 Departure of Meteor to Kizhi Island. A meteor is a high-speed hydrofoil boat.

10:45 Kizhi Island Tour. On Lake Onega, Kizhi is one of the many islands. UNESCO has named the unique wooden churches and structures here as a heritage site. A professional guide leads you around the island. In your free time after the tour, a walk around the island will reveal an enchanting cafe where you can enjoy a meal.

14:45 Departure to Petrozavodsk. A meteor will return you to Petrozavodsk.

16:00 Arrival in Petrozavodsk and transfer to railway srarion

17:00 Departure of the night train to Apatity

Day 7

14:00 Excursion to the ethnic village
You will visit the ethnic village of the northern people, where you will learn about their traditions, and enjoy outdoor games. You will also enjoy memorable interactions with cute deer, huskies and rabbits.

17:00 Check in at the hotel in Kirovsk

10:00 Active tour to the Khibiny mountains
You will travel through the Khibiny Mountains. The first part of the route will be on top of an off-road vehicle and the second part will be on foot enjoying the beautiful views. You will see mountain lakes and breathtaking passes. The tour through the mountains will take 6-7 hours to enjoy the beauty of the north.

9:00 Transfer to the Murmansk

13:00 Arrival in Murmansk. Lunch.

14:00 Visit Icebreaker «Lenin»
You will visit the world’s first nuclear-powered icebreaker which is located in Murmansk.

15:00 Sightseeing tour of Murmansk
You will have a bus tour of one of the largest cities in northern Europe. During the tour you will visit iconic places and learn about their history. We will make a stop so that you can admire the stunning scenery of this northern city.

17:30 Northern berry jam tasting
You can taste jam from local berries along with delicious tea and pancakes.

Day 10

9:00 Breakfast at the hotel

10:00 Excursion to Teriberka
You will go on a full day trip to the village of Teriberka, which is located on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Here you can see the northern waterfalls, a ship cemetery, various beaches and stunning views of the Arctic Ocean. During the tour you will have lunch in a panoramic restaurant.

18:00 Transfer to the airport in Murmansk

21:15 Flight to Moscow with Pobeda Airlines

23:55 Arrival in Moscow. Transfer to the hotel
